GoToMeeting Problem -Starting GoToMeeting Downloading G2MCoreInstExtractor.exe

The GoToMeeting Problem post is the most popular post on this blog. Pay close attention to the solution below...
Then getting a message "The installer could not locate a suitable directory to install" or such. It was reported before here: http://annoyances-resolved.blogspot.com/2010/09/g2mdownloadexe-installer-could-not-find.html Yet it happened again. I was running as an admin under the UAC and it took me 15 minutes or more to follow directions, restart the computer and get back to the GoToMeeting. By that time, I got another message: The Meeting is Full; Please contact the organizer. This is starting to affect my business! Citrix, take note!

At least you got that file downloaded. My connection seems to timeout before the corporate net finishes the download. Wasted hours and never got near that webinar lesson I'm supposed to take.

Anonymous, wow, one more "thumbs down" for Citrix/Goto Meeting? I guess if it works in 97% of the cases, it is good enough for them?

What ever happened to six sigma, Citrix?

GotoMeeting works until it requires an update. On Win7 this will not work unless you are an admin. Extremely lame and has happened in multiple company environments.

Killing peoples security by disabling UAC or giving users admin rights does not constitute a solution.
